Mamas, if your kids are in that age group that is known for the tendency to have temper tantrums, we feel your pain. We’ve been there, too. Most mothers have at one point or another. (And yes, plenty of older kids have “meltdowns” too, especially when the school year starts and they get frustrated with homework.)
The good news? Those tantrums do end eventually.
The bad news? You really do need a solid strategy for how to deal with (and most importantly prevent) those tantrums, not only for your own sanity but also to help ensure that your own reaction doesn’t trigger more tantrums in the future.
So we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite expert sources on the topic of tantrums and what to do about them. Hope these links are helpful as you gather good tips for what to do and how to do it.
