By Jackie Helton, the Music Mama
Last month, we did this cool playlist built from songs with a girl’s name in the title. If you missed it, you can check it out by clicking here. So… in fairness to the boys… this month we’re doing one that’s all about the guys.
Interesting little side note: The songs that have girl’s names in them are mostly love songs, where the singer pours out his heart for the woman he loves. But I noticed that, in the majority of songs with a guy’s name in the title, the singer is describing the guy as a loser, quitter, rat or general scumbag. Hmmm…. not sure exactly what this might mean, but it is an interesting difference. Maybe we girls are more inspired to write about boys when we’re mad.
To listen to the songs, go to your favorite online music store like iTunes and search for each title. Enjoy the list!
