Time to get your tickets, mamas!
The Walton Arts Center has some amazing shows coming in the fall, and if you want the best seats in the house, you’ll need to reserve your tickets early. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s on its way to the Walton Arts Center in the 2011-2012 season. We’re so excited about this list!!
The Midtown Men (August 19-20): This is a special concert tour that reunites four stars from the original cast of Broadway’s Jersey Boys.
West Side Story (Oct. 25-30): It’s one of the most famous musical love stories of all time! Buy early because you know this one is gonna sell out.
Rock of Ages (Nov. 15-20): It has been nominated five times for Tony awards! This musical features the greatest arena-rock of the 1980s.
Bring It On: The Musical (Feb. 7-12, 2012): This is a brand-new musical that features on the world of competitive cheerleading.
Million Dollar Quartet (Feb. 21-26, 2012): This musical was inspired by a famous recording session of rock ‘n’ roll icons including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.
Circus Oz (March 29- April 4, 2012): This is a contemporary circus explosion from Australian performers.
Mary Poppins (April 17-22, 2012): It’s such a timeless classic! You’ve just got to take your kids to see this one. Again, reserve tickets early before it sells out.
Remember that you can also ask about the “Create Your Own” subscription if you want to see a few of these shows but not all of them. Ask for the details when you call the box office. ONE MORE THING: If you’re a wine lover or collector, remember that the Art of Wine event is happening this Friday, June 10th and Saturday, June 11th at the Walton Arts Center. Call ASAP if you want to snag some last-minute tickets.
And you may also want to mark your calendar for the show Guys and Dolls, which will be coming to Walton Arts Center on July 9th. (Tickets just went on sale on Friday!) This particular production of Guys and Dolls is brand new so you’ll be one of the first in the country to see it. It’s an oddball romantic comedy that many theater lovers say is the perfect musical. Call the box office for ticket info!
THIS JUST IN!: We just heard that tickets are on sale NOW for Imagination Movers at Walton Arts Center! The group will be in concert July 30th and 31st, and tickets range from $22 to $38. If your kids love to rock out with the Imagination Movers on Playhouse Disney, they’ll be blown away by the live concert.
