July First Friday: Land of the Free

Downtown Bentonville’s First Friday bash has music, fun and family togetherness.

Bark to Basics: A Guide to Tree Identification

Visit Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area on July 6 to see County Forester Rosie Timmerman from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture: Forestry Division present her free program, “Bark to Basics: A Guide to Tree Identification.” The program will take place both inside and outside. For more information, call the park at 479-789-5000.

Amazeum’s 10th Birthday Bash

The Scott Family Amazeum is throwing a birthday bash 10 years in the making; and everyone’s invited! On Friday, July 12, 2025, the Amazeum will celebrate a decade of hands-on discovery, creative play, and community connection. In honor of this major milestone, the museum is offering free admission for 10-year-olds with the purchase of an adult ticket. The celebration features a live performance by award-winning singer-songwriter Shannon Wurst from 3 to 5 PM. Guests will be the first to hear the debut of the Amazeum’s brand-new end-of-day song—created especially for this milestone moment. From the moment the doors open, the museum will be packed with special activities designed to spark imagination and amplify the fun. Children age 10: Free with purchase of an adult ticket (one free child per paid adult; adult tickets must be purchased online, child ticket redeemed at entry). Second Saturday: Outdoor ARTventure

Join us for Second Saturdays, a free family event filled with art, nature, and hands-on fun! Explore in-gallery activities inspired by Maya Lin and Tony Tasset, then head outdoors to create nature mandalas with Trails and Grounds.

Location: Crystal Bridges Museum, Bentonville

Bentonville Kids Rave

Dive into a vibrant, kid-friendly dance party at Lawrence Plaza Splash Park. This energetic event combines music and movement, creating a dynamic atmosphere where children can dance and splash to their heart’s content. With lively tunes and the splash pad’s interactive features, it’s an unforgettable experience for the little ones.

Dickson Street Mile

The first ever Dickson Street Mile was so much fun they’re bringing it back again in 2025. Starting and finishing on Dickson Street, this one-mile race will soon become as iconic as its namesake. Several different race heats will provide a race option for everyone: speedsters, strollers, walkers – even dogs! The race should feel like a parade, with engagement and excitement along the course for both participants and spectators.

Runway Bike Park 

The Jones Center’s Runway Bike Park is a great place to try out in June. The premier 2.75-acre bike park is free and has a world-class Velosolutions pump track, skill lines, and a bicycle playground. Helmets required.

Fayetteville Public Library Bookmobile

FPL on Wheels is a free mobile library service designed to reach new and existing patrons in the city limits of Fayetteville. The Fayetteville Public Library can now meet you in neighborhoods, schools, senior centers, or at community events, making library resources and technology more accessible. With a rotating selection of books and DVDs for all ages, the bookmobile allows patrons to browse, borrow, and return materials just like you do at your Fayetteville Public Library. Plus, enjoy free Wi-Fi, attend special programs, and connect with our friendly library staff.

Terrific Tuesday Nights

Terrific Tuesday Nights is a family-friendly, free summer series hosted at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks every Tuesday evening in June, July and August. This series allows the Northwest Arkansas community to experience the Garden on beautiful summer evenings free of charge, thanks to the Pat & Willard Walker Foundation, Inc. Enjoy strolling and picnicking in the garden after hours.

Mountain Street Stage Music Series

The Fayetteville Public Library is kicking off its weekly concert series, which will occur on Sundays through the end of July.

Date: Sunday, July 13, 20 and 27

2025 Gulley Park Summer Concert Series

In the heart of one of Fayetteville’s most appreciated parks, the community gathers to enjoy a long-standing tradition of outdoor live music with a food truck rally on six different occasions each summer. Family-friendly music brings all walks of life together, and spectators are encouraged to bring their “furry” friends as well. Concerts are on Thursday evenings in June and July, 7-9 p.m., at the Gulley Park gazebo. Come relax and take part in the fun-filled atmosphere.
