About Chef Mario:
Chef Mario is the Corporate Executive Chef and Senior Director of Culinary Innovations in the Insights & Innovation Group at Tyson. He creates, develops and tests new products for the Consumer Products and Food Service divisions. This means he’s Tyson’s go-to guy for creating some of the company’s tastiest cuisine available.
Mario’s obsession with creating edible art began when he graduated from the University of California. So he headed to San Francisco to attend a small private culinary academy for some hard-core culinary education. Amassing from experience he gained from his work in cruise ship, bistro, hotel & fine-dining kitchens, Mario parlayed this into a career in food production as the corporate chef for Mallard’s Food Products, later combining his culinary mastery and knowledge of food technology as a research chef at Culinary Foods in Chicago.
In addition to many awards and accolades, Mario is committed to the development of new food products and is the author of “Chef Formulation and Integration: Ensuring that Great Food and Food Science Work Together.” Mario has also appeared as a guest judge on the popular Food Network show “Chopped,” as well as being a restaurateur in NWA creating eateries dedicated to modern Ozark cuisine. In March, Chef Mario was the recipient of the Research Chefs Association 2019 Pioneer Award; Pioneer in Culinology®: A person who, through their own lifetime achievements, has become a recognized leader in the food industry utilizing the practice of combining culinary craftsmanship and food science.

I would LOVE to win! My birthday is the 5th and this would make a fun celebration. My mom always made our family “porcupine meatballs” which were beef meatballs rolled in rice. I LOVE them. I’ll share the recipe below.
Here’s her recipe for our family fave: http://www.razorbackbritt.com/favorite-meal-moms-porcupine-meatballs/
I love ALL the cooking shows, especially Top Chef! My go to recipe is spaghetti with meat sauce. It’s a staple in our rotation.
I love top chef what an amazing time this will be!!!
My mom made the best Potato pancakes!
The best part about it is they go with everything!
Plus- I can’t forget her pot roast – you can jazz it up or keep it simple. Always an easy go to!
I would love to win! My Tortilla Soup is delicious and simple! Marcia’s Tortilla Soup:
1 box of Chicken broth
1 large jar of salsa, medium spice is best
1 can of sweet corn
1 pint of heavy cream
Add all in a bigger size pot, heat quickly and lower heat, watch at all times, so it doesn’t boil over.
Add the following to your soup bowl:
Avocados
Tortilla chips
Fiesta or Mexican cheese
My daughter and I love to cook and watch cooking shows. We make stir fry quite often: 1 lb ground Turkey browned, 2 bags ramen noodles plus one seasoning pack, half a bag stir fry vegetables. Cook noodles and veggies then add seasoning and meat plus soy sauce to your taste preference.
This sounds so fun! My favorite recipe to cook and one my mom made growing up is pot roast. Roast, potatoes, carrots and Lipton onion soup mix in a broiler pan.
I frequently make homemade chicken noodle soup for my family. It is my girls’ favorite!
