Hi mamas! We know how much we’ve missed the chance to see shows at Walton Arts Center like we used to pre-pandemic. (We will never again take for granted the opportunity to see live theatre!) But at least our friends at Walton Arts Center are making it easier to enjoy performances and stay safe, even during these weird times.
This week we’re giving away a ticket to an online show that you and people in your friend/family bubble can use. The show is called “Dixie’s Happy Hour.” and the online reviews say it’s absolutely hilarious. We could all use some hilarious in our lives right now!

You might remember Dixie from previous shows like her off-Broadway hit, Dixie’s Tupperware Party. She loves to make people laugh with her Alabama wisdom and crazy stories. She’s back with this new digital show that’s perfect for these unpredictable times.
Keep in mind that this show is best for either a date night or a girls’ night out, since it contains some content for grown-ups only. Here’s another funny sneak preview of Dixie mixing up some margaritas:
With this show, you’ll need to show up at the scheduled time because it can’t be paused or replayed. But the great part is that you can watch it with a group of your friends in your home and make it a happy hour! Dixie will be mixing drinks and sharing funny stories. Want to watch it in your pajama pants and your favorite ratty t-shirt? Do it! That’s the beauty of attending a digital show.

If you don’t want to rely on the luck of the draw to see this show, we encourage you to go ahead and purchase a ticket for yourself (that you and your friends/family can use together at your house). The tickets are on sale now and are $35 plus applicable fees per household. (If you have a group of five friends get together, everyone could chip in 7 bucks and cover the cost of the whole ticket.) Tickets need to be purchased at least 2 hours prior to a showtime. Then you’ll get an email or text with a link to the performance.
