Giveaway: See “Sugar Skull” at Jones Center Oct. 11th

This week we’re giving away four tickets to a whole day of fun at The Jones Center with an incredible show called “Sugar Skull,” plus indoor swimming, ice skating, and craft time. And it all happens under one (HUGE) roof!

ABOUT THE SHOW: Twelve-year-old Vita Flores thinks her family has gone loco planning a celebration for deceased loved ones. Why throw a party for the dead? But when a spirited candy skeleton suddenly springs to life, Vita finds herself on a magical, musical journey to unravel the true meaning of Día de Muertos.

Join Vita, Sugar Skull and a cast of characters for a heartwarming experience the whole family will love! This bilingual/bicultural musical adventure arrives just in time to remind us all that family and community are at the heart of every celebration.

This event is part of the FamJam series, which is a Jones Center program for families who want to kickstart their weekend in a fun and active way. Kids and parents are invited to an ultimate afternoon or evening of playtime and learning. FamJam offers a combined ticket for your family to enjoy a great performance and participate in indoor recreation activities.

Each FamJam Saturday includes:

  • Featured family entertainment performance (11am or 2pm)
  • Indoor ice skating (12:30-2:30pm and 7-9pm) and swimming (12-6pm)
  • A themed craft activity (after the show)
  • Tickets are $10 for public/$8 for members and include access to ALL of the day’s FamJam events!

But the winner of this giveaway will get 4 tickets for FREE!

HOW TO ENTER:

To throw your name in the online hat to win 4 tickets to see the “Sugar Skull” show on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11am or 2pm, scroll down to the bottom of this post (and past the comments posted by other moms) until you see the words “Leave a Reply.”

Then write a quick comment telling us about someone you know who LOVES celebrations like Halloween and/or Dia de Muertos. (My business partner and her husband go all out with Halloween decorations — lots of spiders — and they never fail to impress with their Halloween costumes.)

You can also email your answer to us at giveaways@nwaMotherlode.com. Winners are always chosen by using a random number generator.

Good luck in the giveaway! Watch your inbox for possible good news!
