The J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Ozark Highlands Nature Center opened its doors in Springdale in 2020.
This 32,000 square foot facility on over 61 acres is the newest place to learn about the natural world and outdoor recreation in Northwest Arkansas.
It’s free to visit the center, thanks to Amendment 75 and the 1/8th-Cent Conservation Fund. For now, reserved entry tickets are required to coordinate visits and manage attendance in accordance with social-distancing guidelines.
You’ll get to see live wildlife and fish, interact with fun and high-tech exhibits, practice your marksmanship skills, walk on beautiful trails and more.
The center, located at 3400 N. 40th St. in Springdale, is open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sundays.
