Beauty Buzz: To wash or not to wash your face?

It’s crazy how beauty experts can ricochet from one extreme to another. One minute, they’re telling us that we need to do a complex, multi-step facial cleansing process before we go to bed at night. The next minute, they’ve swung to the opposite end of the spectrum and are now saying that ignoring your skin will help restore the skin’s natural barrier. What’s a confused mama to do?

In some ways, we’d love it if we didn’t need to wash our face so often. Who among us has not dreamed of being able to just lay down at night and go to sleep instead of dragging ourselves to the bathroom sink to go through the nightly skin care routine yet again.

So what’s the truth? We recently read an article in Time magazine titled “What Happens If You Don’t Wash Your Face?” 

As you’ll see in the article, the truth lies somewhere in the middle, as it usually does. Less may be more, but zero face washing is not the answer.
