Univ. of Arkansas Design Camp

About Design Camp:

In summer 2026, the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design will offer in-person camps in Bentonville, North Little Rock, and on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. Design Camp offers the chance to learn about the design professions through hands-on design projects, tours, discussions and other activities created by Fay Jones School faculty who teach the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, and interior architecture and design. In the school-guided camps, students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty and collaborate with peers in a fun and creative on-campus studio or virtual studio environment as they explore the design process.

Address: Vol Walker Hall, University of Arkansas campus, Fayetteville, AR 72701; some camps are being held in Bentonville and North Little Rock

Camp hours: Generally, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (some campers will stay overnight in the residential camps on the U of A campus). Supplies and meals will be provided.

For specific questions: faycamp@uark.edu

Where to register: Visit the Design Camp page on the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design website.

Registration deadline: May 18, 2026

What Design Camp professors are saying:

“I really enjoy being able to share my passion for architecture with young students and hopefully help inspire them to pursue their interests in the design professions. Design Camp is a wonderful way for them to gain some insight into the process we go through in designing a project – and to take a little bit of the mystery out of how things are designed and built.”

— Alison Turner, architecture professor
