Eric Carle Storytime at Barnes & Noble

The Fayetteville Barnes & Noble will be hosting the the Walton Arts Center for a special storytime highlighting Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, The Hungry Caterpillar, and Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me with readings and special activities. This storytime is in connjuction with the performance of Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Other Treasured Stories by Eric Carle at the Walton Arts Center on Sunday, March 5. This event is free and open to children ages 3 and up.

Super Saturday: Magician Scott Davismagician scott davis

Head to the Fayetteville Public Library Saturday to see Scott Davis’ hilarious magic show! Davis has been seen in Magic Magazine, The Arkansas Democrat Gazette and on Television affiliates for ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. He’s opened for Comedian Jay Leno and performed in the showrooms of Las Vegas. This show is family friendly and free!

Around the World: Flavors of North India

Indian spicesOzark Natural Foods is offering a series of free cooking classes that will take home chefs (of all ages!) on an adventure around the globe. Every first Saturday of the month, the class will create food from a different region of the world. To kick off the series, the class will “travel” to North India! Learn to make your own Garam Masala spice mixture, Vegetable Pakoras with Raita, homemade Naan bread, Chana Masala, and Masala Chai! Yum!!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Walton Arts Center

March 5, the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia will be performing a show titled Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Other Treasured Stories by Eric Carle at the Walton Arts Center. Huge puppets, a whimsical musical score, and family favorite stories like Very Hungry Caterpillar and Papa, Will You Get the Moon for Me? will delight kids and parents alike. This show’s sponsors are Mattell and 4029 News (KHBS/KHOG).

One District One Book Wrap-Up

Head to Crystal Bridges on Sunday for the wrap-up celebration of Bentonville’s city-wide One District One Book reading program!
