Sign Language Classes for Babies and Toddlers

babysigns.JPGFour classes on using sign language for babies will begin January 12th, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pages of Parenting Bookstore (located at 388 Sunbridge Drive in Fayetteville). Using sign language with babies may help your baby communicate before he or she is able to speak. You don’t have to bring the baby to class. Just learn the signs and take them home to use with your child during activities.

Each class costs $5. If you attend more than one signing class, you will receive the book Sign Baby by Linda Acredolo for free. Space is limited and advance registration is required for the class.

Marti Genge, an ACPI Certified Coach for Parents and Families, will instruct the class. She has more than 18 years experience in parenting education. For more info or to reserve a spot, call 479-582-3139 or visit the Pages of Parenting website at www.pagesofparenting.com.

  1. I used baby signs with both of my kiddos when they were small. They were the best thing I could have done for them to help them learn language and also help them communicate needs/wants that they didn’t have the words for. I HIGHLY recommend it-it’s not difficult and makes such a difference.
