Food and Wine Weekend, Eureka Springs

Eureka Springs Food & Wine Weekend was started in 1993, with most restaurants participating in this food lover’s event. All categories of restaurants are involved, offering everyone something to taste; either a 6 course meal with wine pairings, to a flight of wines. We have offered cooking classes, grand tastings in the Auditorium, light tastings with Champagnes and brought in winemakers from California to educate those interested in the finer points of wine. This continues to be an appealing weekend for tourists as well as local wine lovers.

This year’s participants include: Cottage Inn Restaurant at 450 W. Van Buren; Grand Taverne Restaurant at 37 N. Main Street; DeVito’s at 5 Center Street; Brews at 2 Pine Street; The Stonehouse at 89 S. Main Street; KJ’s Caribe Restaurant  and Cantina at 309 West Van Buren; Fresh Harvest at 512 Village Circle; Fresh at 179 N. Main Street and Grotto Wood-Fired Grill and Wine Cave at 10 Center Street.

Keels Creek Winery will feature the wines of Arkansas.  A number of Arkansas Wineries will be participating in addition to Keels Creek Winery. On Thursday and Friday there will be all day wine tastings of Arkansas Wines featuring Select Arkansas Wineries.  On Saturday there will be a special wine event from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring small plate appetizers and wine tastings from Arkansas Wineries. Also, Cuisine Karen will offer culinary classes out of her French Provencal kitchen at 10 Woolridge.   There will be a culinary demonstration class on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The class is $40 per person.  On November 14 and 15, she will offer hands-on culinary classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $50 per person.
