Hot Wheels exhibit open through April at the Amazeum

The Hot Wheels™: Race to Win™ exhibit presented by Mattel opened to the public at the Scott Family Amazeum on Jan. 27th.

At the exhibit, Northwest Arkansas families get an all-access pass to the behind-the-scenes process of designing, developing, testing and re-testing involved in auto racing as they experience Hot Wheels™: Race to Win™. Race fans, car enthusiasts, and fans of Mattel’s Hot Wheels® of all ages will love this interactive exhibit created by the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

The 4,000 square foot Hot Wheels Racing Garage contains four areas where families learn a different aspect of real-life race car design and testing. The garage and trackside environment of the exhibit simulate the work racing teams do to prepare and compete on race day in stock car, open wheel, and drag racing.

The exhibit will run through April 29th.

“We are excited to host this exhibit at the Amazeum, especially since it’s the 50th anniversary of Hot Wheels®,” said Sam Dean, Executive Director. “Nearly everyone has an experience with Hot Wheels from childhood, but probably didn’t think about the deep-learning experience they were having in the process. This exhibit presents science, technology, engineering, art and math concepts through a familiar and engaging vehicle that most of us have already experienced. Hot Wheels™: Race to Win™ makes key STEAM* concepts relatable and understandable.”
