Giveaway: Babysitting time and dinner at Ruth’s Chris!

Carmen has lived in NWA all her life (her grandfather founded Herman’s Tire Shop in Cave Springs). She’s ready for a date night because it means somebody else will be doing the cooking. A day where you enjoy a leisurely meal at Ruth’s Chris Steak House with a friend (or your guy, your choice!) while your kids play happily with people their own size at Play-Care in Bentonville.

We can help you do that. This giveaway will treat one lucky mama to four hours of FREE babysitting at Play-Care as well as a $50 gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Doesn’t that sound good? We thought so! You’ll have time to eat some delicious food, zip over to Pinnacle Hills Promenade for shopping, get a haircut or maybe just run errands in peace. playcare2.jpgAbout Play-Care: Nearly two years ago, owner Ashley Leis saw the need for convenient, drop-in childcare for moms who need a break, parents with part-time jobs – even moms and dads in desperate need of a date night.

So she created the solution: Play-Care on Walton Boulevard in Bentonville.

Play-Care is fully licensed, but its flexibility for families makes it a one-of-a-kind facility in Northwest Arkansas. Not only is Play-Care open during the day, the center is also open on Friday and Saturday nights so parents can take time to nurture their relationship on a date night! There’s even game-day childcare available. Ashley and the staff promote the development of socialization, motor skills and creativity.

At Play-Care, kids do everything from art projects to bubble blowing to music and rhythm fun.

About the food: Ruth’s Chris is famous for its steaks, of course, but the menu doesn’t stop there. Seafood, lamb chops, soups, salads and delicious sides are also an option. And then you can have some cheesecake. We definitely recommend it. (Or Chocolate Sin Cake, Carmelized Banana Cream Pie, Warm Apple Crumb Tart, Bread Pudding with Whiskey Sauce, Creme Brulee if you prefer.)

  3. We really liked going to Ruth’s Chris for a date a while back, but we were only able to go because we had a gift certificate. We can’t really afford to go otherwise. It would be really cool to be able to go there again!
