Bowl for Kids’ Sake!

bigbrother.jpgBig Brothers Big Sisters has announced its upcoming Bowl for Kids’ Sake events. This annual fundraiser benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas consists of several bowling events that will take place throughout Northwest Arkansas from February through March. It’s all about having fun to help kids!

Here’s what you can do, and fast, since these event dates are coming up: grab four of your friends, form a bowling team of five and each raise $100 (just ask 10 friends for $10. This is all about helping kids, remember?) Then just register your team HERE and you’ll get some info from the Big Brothers Big Sisters about what to do next.

You just bring the money with you when you come to bowl at one of the below dates. The bowling event is essentially a thank-you party for helping raise money for BBBS. Each bowler bowls two games and gets free pizza during the party! You don’t have to be pro bowlers — this is about having fun to help kids! Funds go directly toward matching local Littles with great Bigs.

“Bowl for Kids’ Sake is our community’s largest fundraising campaign for kids.  All funds stay local, and 100% of the money raised provides guidance and support to children through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas mentoring programs,” says Jolana Aibangbee, Big Brothers Big Sisters Fund Development Coordinator. “These children, ages 6-14, are carefully matched with screened adult volunteers in one-to-one mentoring relationships”.

As we said, teams of five participate in Bowl for Kids’ Sake by securing pledges from friends, family and co-workers. Bowl is a great fun-filled evening, dedicated to helping support Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission of “Doing the powerful work of showing children they matter.”
