Are you ready to run or walk your first 5K?

Hey, moms, we just found out about this new training program through Fleet Feet Sports in Fayetteville called No Boundaries. They’ve teamed up with New Balance to bring this program here.

We know so many women who are into running — and it seems like so much fun. Something you do for yourself, with a goal in mind, might be just the thing you need right now. One of two orientation meetings is at 6:30 tonight (Tuesday, Feb. 16) but there’s also a meeting at 6:30 on Feb. 24. You can attend either one.

The program fee is $75 and here’s what you get:

  • A complete 12 week training schedule
  • Goal race is the Lion’s Club Challenge for Sight 5K (New course!) at program completion
  • Weekly coach supported group run devoted entirely to you
  • Additional optional opportunities to run with a group during the week
  • Weekly email updates
  • New Balance short sleeve technical top
  • Series of seminars on topics such as injury prevention, nutrition, stretching, gait analysis and running form critique
  •  A supportive group atmosphere

As we said, orientation meetings will be at Fleet Feet Sports on Tuesday, February 16th and Wednesday, February 24th at 6:30pm. (You only need to attend one of the meetings!)

The group will meet once a week on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. starting March 3rd at Vandergriff Elementary Track in Fayetteville. Bring a friend and you can both take on your first 5K.
