It’s time for another scoop of Good Gossip! If you’re new to nwaMotherlode, this gossip column is a little different than most. We scour the celebrity news magazines and compile all the “good gossip” we can find — the stuff that isn’t about negative rumors meant to hurt people. Don’t feel the least bit guilty about reading this post because our gossip is really “good.” :-)

megan-fox.jpgActress Megan Fox married Brian Austin Green in a quiet ceremony on a beach in Hawaii on June 24th. The only attendant was Green’s 8-year-old son, Kassius, who was in charge of rings. They texted the good news to their parents later that evening. The couple had been dating for six years and engaged for four years. The bride didn’t worry about the 16-foot train of her gown getting dirty. She let it go and ran through the sand to the altar. (Source: People magazine, July 19, 2010)

snoop-dogg.jpgRapper Snoop Dogg‘s daughter Cori was diagnosed with lupus in 2005 at age 6. After years of intensive medical treatments, Cori is now doing well on medications. “She’s on the honor roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning, lupus was winning. But now Cori is,” Snoop said. The rapper and his wife said that they had been considering divorce but pulled closer together to endure the crisis. “That’s what it boiled down to. Cori’s lupus showed us we need to be together forever,” Snoop said. (Source: People magazine, July 19, 2010)

popcorn.jpgLeigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, the real-life couple depicted in the movie The Blind Side (starring Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw), recently gave an interview to People magazine about their new book titled “In a Heartbeat.” Leigh Anne said that their family lives by an informal notion they call the “Popcorn Theory,” which goes like this: “You can’t help everyone. Cate Edwards, the daughter of Elizabeth and John Edwards, described her mother recently for an article in People magazine. She said her mother taught her “how to know elizabeth-edwards.jpgwhen a friend needs a hug…never giving up on your passions or purpose no matter what obstacles — like grief or disease — get in your way… Or how to continue to live life on your own terms when it somehow becomes savaged by people you never invited into it. Joey Fatone, the former ‘N Sync star, and his wife Kelly welcomed a joey-fatone-dems-1.jpgsecond daughter into the family in January. At 20 weeks of pregnancy, Joey’s wife was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that causes chronic fatigue and was put on total bed rest. Joey took care of their 9-year-old daughter Briahna as well as his wife, saying it was tough on all of them. After a healthy delivery and total recovery for Kelly, the couple say they are done having babies. “I’m outnumbered — I’m surrounded by girls,” Joey said. “But I wouldn’t have it any other way.” (Source: People magazine, July 12, 2010)
