Mamas, I won’t assume your boys will be the only ones to appreciate this giveaway (I’ve got a girl who loves this kind of fantasy story), so I’ll say this is the perfect show for your 10-and-up kiddos. Today we’re giving away four tickets so the whole family can go see The Hobbit on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m.!

About the show: For ages 10 & up, this unprecedented stage adaptation of the prequel to the classic literary trilogy “The Lord of the Rings” is something every true Tolkien fan should experience. Utilizing an ancient art of Japanese theater called Bunraku – which combines live-action performers with intricately designed life-size puppets – the award-winning Canadian company Théâtre Sans Fil brings to life Tolkien’s fantastical world of orcs, trolls, wizards and, yes, Hobbits.

I loved all of Tolkien and so did my daughters. I wouldn’t waste a ticket on my husgband and son! Well, maybe one ticket. Thanks for the opportunity!

Our family would love to see this show. My husband is a big Tolkien fan. My daughter is just starting to get interested in fantasy story. And I love doing things as a family.

I am entering to win this so I can “pay it forward”. I work with many special needs children who would love this night out! If I won, I would have a drawing at my office. Many of my families do not have access to email or internet and are often not aware of the ‘arts’ available in our area. I think this would be a great gift and a neat way for them to spend time together.

My husband and I both loved The Hobbit as kids and can’t wait to read it to our own children. It would be great to see the show together.

I actually became familiar with The Hobbit because my son’s father would read it to me at night. After a while, we would take turns reading and I fell in love with the story! My son is now a big fan. It would be a HUGE treat for us to be able to see the show together!
