  5. My mother made a lovely tulip-shaped sheath for me to wear to prom (a pretty significant departure from the cupcake-style dresses everyone was wearing in 1984) and the front of the dress was simply two pieces of the dress that overlapped. As I got out of the car at the hotel where the prom was happening, a gust of wind grabbed the top layer of fabric and flung it… exposing my lovely half-slip and midsection. It was a sign of things to come… not my favorite night. :)

  6. I went to prom at my small high school…home of the Hillbillies! Some of my favorite memories were getting together with friends after prom for the midnight movies in fort smith and breakfast after. Fun times! I think I have only been to a midnight once since and zero since kids….have learned to try to sleep when there’s actually a chance to sleep! Kristina

  7. Hanging out with friends and group pictures. I never had the over the top expensive dresses but always had a good time!

  8. I did not go to our high school prom, it was not very well organized. Thankfully, I got to dress up each year for my high school sororities “Lead-Out”, yes, a very Mississippi debutante ball thing. I would LOVE to come up to NW Arkansas for prom, get out of my yoga pants into something dazzling, and bring some friends, yes ma’am, count me in!

  9. I am SO EXCITED about this!!! I attended a private school, we were not allowed to dance; i never experienced a ” Prom Night “. ;) tears.

  10. I attended a private school, we were not allowed a dance. I never got to experience a “Prom”. A dinner with our parents was nice. But, I wanna dance!!! There IS a time to DANCE under HEAVEN!!! (: thankyou!!!

  12. Melody Logan says:

I moved in the middle of my senior year…:( so I didn’t go to prom. I would LOVE to go and hang out with some of my girlfriends who need a nice girls night out as well!

  15. Shared on twitter :)

  16. I was home schooled so I never got a chance to go to a prom. I bought a really pretty dress to go with my boyfriend and then we broke up so I never got a chance to wear it… ten years later and it’s hanging in my closet still in the bag.

  17. I went to all three proms with my high school sweetheart whom I will be sharing our 12 year marriage anniversary in March. We had a blast dancing with all of our friends. I am so looking forward to getting dressed up and having a great night of dancing with my BFFs!!

  21. I didnt go to prom in CA my friends and I chose to hang out together. My oldest son is going to his Jr Prom this year :-) Why would going to Mom Prom be so important? Dec 22, 2010 at the age of 42 I had a stroke, I was paralyzed on my left side. 2 years later I am walking, still in therapy trying to be “normal” I found out who my “REAL” friends are and this would be the best gift to show them how much I appreciated them helping me not only through my stroke but some of the darkest days of my life! Friendship is precious!!! And with my second chance at life this Prom is just one more opportunity for me to participate in something I missed out on the first time.

  22. Valerie Holman says:

My favorite prom memory was my Junior prom, 4 of my good friends and I all went together, one of whom was a paraplegic from a car accident that happened earlier that year. We had the MOST fun dancing and laughing!! I believe we had more fun than we would have had we had dates!

  29. Amanda Robb says:

I’m a mom of three and would LOVE a big girl’s night out! I moved around a lot and was in three different high schools. By the time Prom came around I was still new and in my 3rd high school, so I didn’t go to prom. It’d be fun to be able to have a re-do and go now!!
Thanks for this giveaway and how fun!

  30. My favorite memory from Prom is getting dressed up and going out to eat.

  31. Well my best friend and I went together (no boys) and we had a blast. However, we were sooooooooooooooooo disappointed because every stayed out all night, except us. Our moms were so nice and extended our curfew to midnight instead of the usual 11 p.m. HA! We thought we had the worst life ever. LOL!

  44. Christy Tucker says:

I went to the prom, my date was a friend who was a whole foot taller than me-dancing was awkward, there were two slow dances the whole night, the live band was awful and, his eyes were closed in the pictures. Mom prom sounds like so much fun!

  48. Barbara DeMarais says:

Never had a prom night–went to a Christian high school which didn’t have one. We had a banquet instead with everything a prom has except the music and dancing! lol Was still exciting to dress up and wear a corsage and see who came with whom. Why didn’t I smile for that picture?….

The best part of my prom was hanging out with all my friends when it was all said and done. It was a great night and we had lots of fun.

  56. We had a huge group get together for pics before dinner. So much fun seeing everyone glammed up in the 90s! My girls and I need a girls night to re-live the awesomeness that we’ve never lost! LOL!

  57. Brandie Wooten says:

My best friend and I went and bought matching dresses and got all dressed up only for my date to call and say he had been called in to work. (Yea right!) my best friend was so amazon that she stayed home with me and took me out to dinner instead. This would be awesome to make up for my lost night!!!

  58. Lindsey Kendrick says:

Wow – this sounds like a ton of fun and is actually way more appealing to me than prom in high school was (although I loved that and my date for prom is my husband now)! :)

Awesome giveaway and awesome idea NWAMotherlode!
    THANK YOU!

  59. I always enjoyed prom! I love the anticipation and excitement it brings! I’m most excited about spending some quality time with my favorite girls, pretending we don’t smell like spit-up or dirty diapers, pretending we always ride around in limos and sequins, and KNOWING that we deserve a great evening to benefit a wonderful charity! I can’t wait!

  60. My prom was just terrible… I never got the Prom pics because my “date” held them hostage unless I’d go out with him. :D I think I might should write a prom blog post and promote this there!!!!!

  68. I never went to prom. Our private school had a banquet.

  70. Sandy Griffin says:

Never went to my prom. Would love to have a chance to go now with a group of friends.

  71. Beth Burner says:

A favorite prom memory of mine is from my Senior Prom in 1989. I wanted to go all out on my dress so my mom took me to the fabric store to pick out a pattern and fabric. I picked a satin and tulle wedding dress pattern that had 31 yards of tulle. I picked peach for the color. I looked like orange sherbet! But I loved it back then. I wore two crinolines under it and I had to crawl in and out of the car rode in. I loved that dress!

  72. Rachael davenport says:

Prom was so fun with my closest friends and its often one of those memories we bring up! How amazing would it be to relive such an amazing day and do it minus the prom date drama you had in high school!

  73. Getting to have a night out with just girls to let go & have fun!! I’m in!! I won’t worry like I did in high school about anything except to have a great time!

  74. Looking forward to a fun night out with my girlfriends. (haven’t had one in quite some time)

  75. My junior and senior proms were a blast! The best thing about them was dressing up and dancing to the song “Shout” was something that I won’t forget!

  76. I had transferred schools a couple of times in high school and was home bound my senior year due to an organ transplant, so I didn’t know anyone by the time prom rolled around.

But I was DETERMINED, now that I had the energy, to dress up and go to my senior prom even though I had to go stag. It was kinda sad, actually. Dressing up was the best part.

The Mom’s Prom is sure to be a better experience.

  77. Stephanie Schaefer says:

I would love to win this and take my MOM with me and a bunch of other desrving Mothers I know. Looks totally AMAZING!!
