Giveaway: Tickets to see Hairspray at Rogers Little Theater!
Even if you’ve never used actual hairspray, you’d be crazy not to see Hairspray on stage in February at Rogers Little Theater. If you like music, dancing and laughing, you’ll love this show. It was a HUGE hit on Broadway. And we’ve got two tickets to give away to one Motherlode mama.
ABOUT THE SHOW: This show takes you to Baltimore in the 1960s, when change was in the air. Tracy Turnblad, the lovable
plus-sized heroine, loves to dance and wins a spot on a local TV dance program called “The Corny Collins Show.” Overnight, she finds herself transformed from an outsider to a teen celebrity. (At right: That’s John Travolta, in drag, who played Tracy Turnblad’s mother in the movie adaptation of this musical!)
Zachary L. Denison, a New York City performer, is the guest choreographer for this production of Hairspray. Denison grew up performing at the Rogers Little Theater and graduated from Rogers High School. He attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York and has appeared in productions including the Broadway tour of Cats and The Music Man. He has also performed with numerous New York City dance companies.
The show will also feature a special performance by Emmy Award winner Brad Reed of Fox 24, who joins the cast as a TV reporter. Reed will record a voice-over to be used nightly for the show and will appear for an onstage performance on February 18th.
HOW TO ENTER: To throw your name in the online hat for this giveaway, click the big orange comment button and tell us your favorite kind of hairspray or hair product! And if you don’t need hairspray or hair products to make your hair look awesome, then go away because you’re already too lucky to win show tickets and dinner out on the town.
Not that we’re jealous or anything…
HOW TO INCREASE YOUR ODDS: You can increase your odds for winning the tickets by telling your friends/family about the giveaway. Just send them an email and be sure to put giveaways@nwaMotherlode.com on the CC line of your note and we’ll give you an extra chance to win for every person you tell.
If you’d like to guarantee that you’ll have great seats for this show, you can purchase tickets by calling the Rogers Little Theater box office at 479-631-8988. Click here to order tickets online or get more info from their website. Prices for dinner plus the theater performance are $45 per person and balcony seating is $16 per person.
Hairspray performances will be held on February 10-12, 16-19, 23-26. The theater is located at 116 S. 2nd Street in downtown Rogers.

I grew up with my mom spraying my hair with Aqua Net, in the hopes that it would do something. There is still a bottle under my counter for those extreme problems!

My fave products are Garnier or Aussie – smell SO good. Best product my daughter uses (I have short hair – so no biggie), is an anti-frizz serum.
