Giveaway: Miche Handbags!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to YOU, mamas! This giveaway is for all the handbag-loving mamas out there, and we know there are plenty of us who have an obsession with finding the perfect bag. We’ve got a new Miche handbag to give away this week, and 
the winner will get to choose the style, size and color of the bag she wants. Woo-hooo! Keep it for yourself or use it as a gift for someone who LOVES purses.
First things first. You should know that Miche bags are not your run-of-the-mill purses. I just bought one a few months ago, and I’m loving it because it lets me change my mind any time I feel like it. Miche bags come with a basic interior bag. (There are different sizes to choose from.) And then you slip that interior or “base bag” into what is called a “shell”.
The shells make this bag pretty freakin’ ingenious, if you ask me. Because the shells come in lots of different styles, textures, colors, etc. And you can change out the straps, too! So if you’re the type of woman who tends to get tired of the same old look with the same old purse, this is the answer. I’ve already changed the exterior look of my Miche handbag twice, and I’m getting compliments on both. (Click HERE to see the base bag and shells I bought.)
As with so many good ideas, the concept for the Miche bag was dreamed up by a mother. She was in a hurry to go somewhere when she discovered that ink had spilled out onto her favorite handbag. She loved the bag and wished she could just slip it inside another one that didn’t have the ink stain. That’s how the concept for this business was born!
Miche handbags aren’t sold in stores. You need to find a dealer to see them in person, and we just happen to know one. Lori Cagle is a Miche dealer, a fellow mama of 2 and has also taught lots of childbirth classes to many moms here in Northwest Arkansas. And she is a ton of fun to go purse shopping with! One of the best ways to keep up with Lori and the new Miche styles that hit the market every month is to “like” her Facebook page. My purse is an eclectic mix of my fundamentals(wallet,hand lotion, lip gloss), my kids stuff(action figures, packs of sticker, etc), and of course trash(reciepts, gum rappers and the like). On an average day I could have as many as ten ink pens/highlighters/pencils along with multiple notebooks for myself and my children. I’ve on occasion found empty sippy-cups and baggies of half eaten snacks from church. You may be thinking my purse is HUGE, well not really but it is HEAVY!!

Quite a variety in my bag! Toothbrush, toothpaste, Jordan Essentials Lotion Bar, Scentsy lip balm, highligthers, an oral drug screen swab (love my day job!) and a BUNCH of receipts! No wonder my bag is heavy!

I have my husbands hat, some papers my 3 yr old doodled on at church last night and of course lotion. not to mention lots and lots and lots of TRASH, that my kids ( husband included) seem to think belongs in my purse instead of the trash can!

Right now I have 160 construction paper ornaments, paper clipped into 16 groups of ten, for decorating 16 Shiloh Jr. High cheerleaders’ lockers. I am hoping the Ziplock will keep the glitter in the bag and not in my purse!

I have every store coupon I’ve received in the mail, so I’m prepared to run out at lunch everyday this week and finish up my shopping. Never fails, I leave it on the kitchen counter…not this year!

I keep a small notebook to write down things that the family does or a funny comment the kids make. Then, I can go back at the end of the year to be reminded of the great year we’ve had.

Because I’m a grandmother I have “Those tasty square gums”, a child’s cd entitled I AM A PROMISE, a purple plastic hair pick and some decorative 4-tissue kleenex packets. The Miche bag is perfect for organizing these important things for Grandma’s purse!

I LOVE my Miche bag! I have my daughter’s diabetes supplies (meter, infusion set) in the outside pocket of my Demi bag. Fits perfectly! And she doesn’t have to dig through my bag to find them!

I always carry a small (inch by an inch) tape measure to size things up at consignment/thrift stores & sales. I also have in my phone the sizes of all my windows etc. It is my way to prepare to find a deal.

I keep Splenda in my purse to make lemonade out of ice water in a restaurant. The pink and blue sweeteners just don’t work and restaurants don’t always have the yellow ones

I have an Ipad2 in my purse to keep track of my life where ever I go, provide entertainment for when I am bored or my grand kids need a little something to do, or a just want to read my book. I also have Colgate Wisp tooth brush, a Sweet and Low, A car charger for my phone, chap stick and some hand lotion.
