Drama for Mama: Dancing with the Stars

Well, it’s almost time to narrow this sparkly dance competition down to the final four. On Monday night’s show, the five remaining couples battled for a chance to make it into the semi-finals. Each couple danced two times - a ballroom routine and a latin routine. During one of the routines, the celebrity had to dance a 15-second solo - a new twist on the competition.
The partner dances were all pretty good, in my humble opinion, but the solos really tell the tale about how this competition will likely play out in the end. Cody’s solo was high-energy and high-flying but also a bit spastic. The kid is super cute but probably not going to take home the tacky mirror-ball trophy. Lance’s solo seemed to be one of the more difficult solos, as far as steps are concerned but it still lacked a certain something. Maurice’s solo involved a lot of cape work, and he did it well. But let’s face it - the guy didn’t have to move his feet much to whip a cape around. So that brings us down to Brooke - who did an impressive kick sequence during her solo - and Warren, who never ever fails to entertain with his infectious personality. You just can’t help but root for the guy.
So I’ll go out on a limb and say that the final two dancers left will be Brooke (and partner Derek) and Warren (and partner Kim).
On Tuesday night’s elimination show, Brad Paisley will perform and so will professional dancers Lacey Schwimmer (Lance’s partner) and her brother Benji Schwimmer (who you may know as the winner of the Fox dance show “So You Think You Can Dance” a few years ago.) Both are incredible dancers, and they are amazing together. Don’t miss it.
