5 Minutes with a Mom: Lenette Sparacino

Name: Lenette Sparacino

Children’s names and ages? Catelyn, 6 and Braden, 5

Where are you from and how long have you lived in NWA? I am from Paris, AR. We moved to NWA a little over a year ago for my husband’s job.  He commuted a year before we moved, so we are so happy to be together

Tell us about your blog: I started my blog almost 3 years ago as a way to chronicle our life and be able to share with our family and friends.  I write about our life, as well as food, my faith and my love of photography. (Click here to read The Sparacino Chronicles)

What do you like to read? I love to read. I don’t have a certain genre, I just love curling up and reading a good book!

Favorite movie? How to lose a guy in 10 days

What are your favorite childhood memories of Christmas? The atmosphere. I love the feel of Christmastime no matter where you are.

Tell us about some traditions you’ve started with your kids:  We’ve started with buying a gift for a child their age for the Christmas store our church does and we have lots of Christmas Eve traditions- Candlelight Christmas Eve service, looking at Christmas lights, having homemade cocoa, reading Christmas stories and getting cookies ready for Santa!

What’s your favorite thing to do in NWA? We love the trails and parks.  We love to get out and hike when the weather is nice.  We have made it a mission to visit as many parks and trails as possible!

What are your favorite hobbies? Reading, baking/cooking, photography and blogging of course!

If you could have a vacation anywhere this winter, where would it be? A ski trip somewhere because I have never been!

Which songs are on your iPod right now? I have a ton of music on my iPod, but lately I’ve been listening to the Christmas station on Pandora

If a song was written about your life, what would the title be? Without trying to sound self-righteous, I would have to say “Undeservedly Blessed”

One thing I have been meaning to do is: Volunteer more.  I really want to be involved with helping in the community.  It is at the top of my list of things to do for the coming year.

How do you unwind at the end of the day? My cat usually snuggles up against me and I catch up on Facebook and Twitter or read a book.

One word to sum me up… Caring
