5 Minutes with a Mom: Lindsey Cash

Name: Lindsey Cash

Kids’ names and ages: Connor (9), Graycen (5), Claire (1)

Where are you from? I was born in Little Rock, AR. and raised the majority of my life in Rogers, AR

How do you spend your days? I am a busy stay-at-home mom that works during naptime and bedtime designing and making vintage inspired silk headpieces for little girls.

What’s the last song you sang along with? “Christ Has Risen”, by Matt Maher. I can not get enough of that song.

What’s your favorite vacation location? Oooh, that’s tough. But I would have to say Hawaii. There is a reason that so many tourists visit!

Favorite restaurant in NWA? There are so many good restaurants in NWA, but if I have to choose I would say Noodles in Fayetteville, Abuelos in Rogers, and The Crumpet Tea Room in Rogers. Sorry, too hard to choose just one.

What about your fave movie? My favorite chick flick would have to be The Notebook

Is there a character on television that reminds you of yourself? I would have to say that I can relate most to Deborah from Everybody Loves Raymond. I feel like I am her somedays. 🙂

What’s something that makes you cringe? Something that makes me cringe would have to be when the Lords name is taken in vain. Even though people do it all the time, it stills bothers me.

Where did you first lay eyes on your husband? I first saw my husband at a restaurant in Conway, AR where I first met him and I have to say that although he was very cute, I wasn’t all that interested at first :), BUT… it turned out that he was pretty GREAT, it just took a while for me to give him a chance… We have been happily married for 10 years now! Ohhh the games we play when we are young.

What are your favorite parenting moments? I would have to say that my favorite parenting moments are when I see that my children respect me and show that they love me without me asking them to.

What’s your fool-proof way to get the kids laughing again after a hard day? When it’s been a long, hard day I try to just let them have fun and be kids and not sweat the small stuff. Playing together and letting loose as a family is always a favorite.

What’s a tradition you hope to pass on to your kids? In our family, Christmas brings out our favorite traditions , but we hope that our children not only learn from all the fun activities but that they are learning to teach and spread the true meaning of Christmas that goes beyond Santa.

What’s a meal you make over and over for your kids? Our children love poppyseed chicken, it is definitely a favorite in our house!

Your most-loved hobbies? My favorite hobbies would have to be painting with acrylics, drawing, singing, creating something from nothing and interior design.

What would your ideal day look like? My ideal day would be spent outside on a sunny day with my family playing, flying kites, hiking, etc. and not worrying about a thing. There would be no fighting or arguing all day (yeah right), and then end it with a perfect bubble bath. Ahhh… perfection.

One word to sum me up … perfectionist.
